Inhofe opponent up with first TV ad |

State Sen. Andrew Rice (D) on Monday released a new television ad plugging his Christian background in his campaign to unseat Sen. James Inhofe (R).
In the ad, Rice mentions that his “faith teaches to help those in need. That’s why I served as a Christian missionary.” Rice’s website also highlights his missionary work.
Rice speaks about his brother’s death in the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, as an inspiration to run for elective office.
Rice is seeking to narrow the name identification gap between Inhofe, who has served in the Senate since 1994, and himself. Recent polls show Inhofe leading Rice by over 20 points. The ad also attacks Inhofe, saying that “Jim Inhofe has been in Washington 22 years and he’s lost his way.”
“There’s a lot wrong with Washington, but Oklahomans know Jim Inhofe shares their values and priorities,” said Inhofe campaign manager Josh Kivett. “The senator returns home almost every weekend to travel the state, visit with constituents and listen to their concerns. He has a proud record of leadership for our state that cannot be matched.” |
